Virgin Voyages Launches- The New Era of Luxury Cruising

The cruising industry has been upended this month with the
launch of Virgin Voyages. Luxury
cruisers now have more options than ever before with the Scarlet Lady�s debut.
Virgin has plans to create three more ships in the next few years, and if the hype over this new ship is any indication, their next ships will be just as enthusiastically received.

Virgin Group is the brainchild of British entrepreneurs Sir Richard Branson and Nik Powell. They are known for their hip brands; most notably Virgin Mobile (telecommunications), Virgin Atlantic (air travel), and Virgin Radio (entertainment). It is no surprise that their entrance into the cruise industry has disrupted the norm.

The Scarlet Lady is a mid-size ship and is anything but ordinary. First, it is adults-only, and while this isn�t a brand-new concept, Virgin is really making it a big part of their focus. Another big difference is their all-inclusive package. Most ocean liners are not all-inclusive and have a reputation of nickel and diming guests. Virgin has made it very clear that it won�t be happening to their �sailors�. Oh and there�s that, they call their guests �sailors�. It�s truly a hip new ship for those swanky cruisers who are ready to try something new.
